Navigating the Markets during the Trump/Biden Election!!!

The stock market is tough to navigate during normalcy; throw in a worldwide pandemic, an equality movement, and a Presidential election, well, you we have the makings of a wild month. With the Trump/Biden election only a few weeks a way, keep your eyes on your portfolio. The market is already showing turbulent movement and there is more to come. Me, what am I doing??? I’m sticking with the big boys, the blue chips.

In my opinion, the stocks that can get hurt really bad over the next month are going to be the lesser know, small cap and mid cap stocks. A small cap stock is generally a company with a market capitalization of between $300 million and $2 billion. A mid-cap stock is the term that is used to designate companies with a market capitalization between $2 and $10 billion. (investopedia) If you stick with the blue chip that have been around for a while, you should be fine. A blue chip is a nationally recognized, well-established, and financially sound company.  Keep you eye on the Apple (AAPL), Walmart (WMT), Amazon (AMZN), Johnson and Johnson (JNJ), Microsoft (MSFT), Intel (INTC), and McDonald’s Corp (MCD) of the trading world. Those stocks will be around after the coronavirus has vanished, the equality issues have been solved, and the Trump/Biden show is no longer airing.
